There are plenty of flagpole sites in Japan due to the discrepancy between the big city block dividing under paddy fields and the needs of small site after residentialization. Since it is impossible to build a housing with common space on such a site according to law, we decided to adopt a townhouse style which does not have any common space inside. On the other hand, it is also true that the number of Japanese who emphasize connection with neighbors after 3.11 has increased. Here, the rooftop as a vegetable garden which is not counted in the common space is used as a communication tool, and at the same time, it was set as a place to intensively eliminate the feeling of blocking of the recessed site. It is a model of a rental apartment house in the city-center sharing a hobby.
水田を下敷きにする大きな街区割と、宅地化後の小さな敷地のニーズとの齟齬から日本にはたくさんの旗竿敷地がある。法律上そういった敷地には共用部を持ついわゆる共同住宅を建てることができないので、この敷地では共用部を持たない長屋形式を採用することとした。一方で、３．１１以降の隣人とのつながりを重視する日本人が増えたのも事実である。ここでは、共用部にカウントされない屋上部を菜園としてコミュニケーションのツールとし、同時に、奥まった敷地の閉塞感を集中的に解消する場とした。趣味を共有した都心部賃貸集合住宅のモデルである。
